Korean Resource Center (KRC)

The Korean Resource Center (KRC) is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Los Angeles' Koreatown. KRC provides various social, educational, cultural and advocacy services to the low-income, limited-English speaking Korean community. As a significant number of Koreans consume fish from the Santa Monica Bay area, KRC utilizes culturally and linguistically appropriate means to educate the community about the dangers of eating contaminated fish.
The Korean Resource Center is organized around four core functions: education, social service, civil rights and culture. The Center provides education programs in African American, Latino, and Asian Pacific American history, community forums on social justice issues, Korean classes for young adults, Korean-American bi-cultural adaptation, computer internet training, and tax clinics. It also provides social services including renters’ assistance, Healthy Families & Medi-Cal assistance, language services, elderly services and immigration assistance.
